Donkey Kong has rather good graphics for the time it was made and sold. It is a very popular game for the younger kids’ age range. Also the graphics are very fun and bright / colorful, drawing attention to the eye. In the Donkey Kong game you are a big monkey called Jump-man. After years of playing Mario we tend to forget that he once use to play as an ape as well who would turn also into a plumber for the Nintendo console.
It is a great classic adventure game known by most of us even if we have not played or not yet played it. Also the sound effects are very loud and fun and the characters are very friendly and inviting. There are many varieties of levels to play and or re-play.
Although however it is extremely frustrating if you find it hard to complete the section or level and have to start again and keep re playing them, especially when it comes to kids as they just want to get on with the game and they cant as they are stuck on one little bit of it. As the games produces more different games there are better graphics and people also more moves and languages
and different scenery as the original game is very basic and simple.
The arcade game had to be altered considerably to fit onto a standard TV screen. You have to use the keyboard to operate the characters and menu bars, as they do not have any other styles of hand sets and you use the basic keys on the keyboard to move around. You can also save your high scores as many other games you cannot save as there is no memory stick or anything to record the scores or game-play. When the game first come out it was one of the most popular game out, everyone forgot about the other games they was just sprung by Donkey Kong which made the producers name well known. It had no completion and it set a whole new kind of game play.
It is also very easy to learn the keys and instructions to this game it would most probably only take you a few minutes to get use to and after that it is highly addictive to stop playing! There are bonus rounds in this game. There are also mini games you can play that you can get access of from the main menu! All in all I enjoy playing the game as I know many others do as well. It is a classic game and will be known for a very long time.
