Game Review (written by Jibrillle) Added on: 07/13/2008
Dragon Force, has been a game I have always held in high regards. I first played it years ago. This is one of the few games I have played that has kept me going back for more. The replay value of this game alone is the highest of any game I have personally experienced. Being able to play as any of the respective kingdoms is one of the beautiful things about this game. Not only are there many different story lines to progress through, there are battles that take place that determine the outcome of the story.
Granted that most plot-moving battles must have a certain outcome to progress, a player may change around many aspects just to proceed through the battle.
The battlefield structure alone is a remarkable setup. You choose to battle whomever you like and you may choose the person from your team to battle. Once on the battlefield, your opponent may choose from a variety of strategies as you will too. Many of the basic battle strategies include such strategies such as advance, defend, standby, disperse, and regroup. If a player believes that no real strategy is needed to win the battle at hand, he or she may decide to do a full out melee attack wherein your troops will continuously advance toward the enemy commander. If any enemy troops

manage to slide past your troops, your troops will automatically run back to defend your commander.
There is a slight word of caution that this reviewer will give the player: if melee is selected, you will not be able to enforce any other battle strategy. If the battle becomes too heated and seems unwinable, you may select retreat to get out of the battle. If you lose a battle, your commander may either be too injured to participate for a few turns or captured by the other team. If you win the battle, you may capture the enemy and later consult them and they may join you team. Capturing other castles is a key element of taking over the land. More castles means more people and it also means your closer to the rest of the game. Every so often you will be able to search castles for items or build up a castle’s level. You will also be able to equip those items to give you a better chance to win battles.
This game will keep you coming back for more always, because there are many different ways to play. Have fun.
