Game Review (written by Ty2win) Added on: 01/24/2008
Duke nukem games have always been fun games to play. The first version I played was the 3D version that was on playstation. I decided to try out the platform version for pc, and it was fun. It reminded me of many of the platform games that I have played. It is a fun game to play. This game is a classic and should be played by people who respect classic games.
People who want 3D and high intensive graphics shouldn't go near this game because they will be disappointed by it if they expect them, but any classic gamer who just wants something to do on his or her free time, this is a game worth playing.
Duke Nukem Rules! Anyone who can't handle a classic platform game doesn't deserve to play any games. For the classic gameplay, I would rate the game a 6.5. It is a good game to play, but it does not meet up to some other games computers have now. Duke Nukem was a classic in its self, but having it for computer is awesome! 2D platform games are the best.
I have always liked the concept of how the game is set up. You get a weapon, you have health, you can find health packs, and you can shoot stuff. What's better than that? My answer: nothing! Nothing can beat one of these classics. When I'm playing this game, I am reminded of

The Terminator because of how the game is set up. It is a fun, playable concept that passes time away very quickly. Duke Nukem should be played by anyone who likes classic games (the games that started it all!).
I like being able to kill the aliens or whatever they are when I’m playing this game. If I’m stressed out, it calms me to virtually kill virtual monster things. I have not tried it with this game yet, but soon I am planning on buying a controller for my computer for this and many other classic games that are on this site.
I think that it is fun to play the good old classics. They deserve to be played more than they are today, since video games have switched to 3D with high end graphics that many computers can not handle. Video games have had a fun gameplay value when they were made with 2D like this, so they must be worth playing.
