In this game you run into Gaia and she helps and leads you through your evolutionary changes. You start off as a fish where you struggle to become the dominant life-form in the seas while some others are trying to make the air breathable. Once you have completed that you move onto an amphibian. Then a reptile and finally a mammal. Towards the end you can choose to be a human if you want. The originality of this game is what makes it very attracting. Its originality, fresh playability, and constant upgrading and changing keep the game interesting as you decide what you will look like.

In the game you walk around different environments defeating others and collect Evo points. These are used
to upgrade parts of your body. Some require more Evo points than others and for good reason. The most expensive is usually the best. You can choose to level you jaws, add horns, extend or shorten your neck, change your body, hands and feet, back of the neck, tail, and so on and so forth. As you go through the game your destiny is revealed by Gaia as the one to reach eden. You have to be at the top of the food chain to be able to win this one. As you go on through different eras. You get to see them rise, take form, and fall.
Throughout the game there are many bosses, each with there own unique strategy to defeat them. Some require button mashing the attack button while others require different forms and actual strategy. What you have evolved makes a huge difference on boss battles as well. It changes you hp, or hit points. It can raise or lower your defense as well as your physical attack power.
The graphics in this game are average but still decent enough to not send you running away and hiding in the closet. I also recommend that you save as much as possible because you never know what a level holds and you can't turn back once you enter one, you have to go through. Overall EVO The Search for Eden is a fairly decent game with decent graphics and an ok storyline. But the playability, back playability, and its originality makes this a very interesting and fun game.
