Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 12/30/2007
I remember tremendously enjoying this game as a little kid so when I found it online recently, I just had to download it to see if it really was as great a game as I remember it to be. And it is! The trick in enjoying a game is to take it for what it is and to calibrate one’s expectations when it comes to the graphics and game play of games that were released more than a decade ago.

The trick in enjoying a game is to take it for what it is and to calibrate one’s expectations when it comes to the graphics and game play of games that were released more than a decade ago. I dare say I still enjoy this game as much as I did when I was a little child. Of course now the game is also easier for me which makes it a good game to play for days when you don’t want to be

bogged down by countless challenges and just want to take things easy.
This game is a simple game that is perfect for young gamers and provides wholesome fun for older games. Although, admittedly I enjoy games that have some violence in them (they definitely relieve my stress from work) I also enjoy puzzle games, adventure games and simple games especially on days when I can’t sleep or when I have a lot of time to spare. The game is also very easy to learn which is why kids can easily get into it.
Freddy Rescue round up is a 2-D platform game that is often compared to another classic game, the Lode Runner. This was released in 1985 by IBM. The goal of the game is to collect all the chicken on the screen. While saving all the chickens, you must also avoid the enemies in the form of robots. To get to the chicken you must jump to the different levels of platforms on the screen. You can also gain access to certain areas by digging through the ground and by going through secret passages. Different stages present different challenges and the game is never a bore to play. It can get pretty exciting especially when you get to the more difficult levels. If you want to start at a more challenging level, you have the option to start a more difficult stage at the beginning of the game. There are also three difficulty levels to choose from.
The graphics being 2-D is pretty simple and dated but it does serve its purpose. There are plenty of simple yet addictive games out there. This is one of those games. You might think it’s silly to get excited over a game that has you saving chickens but this game is super fun. For real!
