This is by far one of the best games I have ever played. You start off with little funds and either a choice of Interplanetary shuttle or one that can actually travel to different Systems. For a beginner I would choose the top choice witch is the recommended choice anyway.
The basic idea of this game is to become renown but in the process travel to and from different Systems and Planets trading anything ranging from Computer - Robots - Live Animal. You can even trade illegal goods such as Narcotics, but if the Police find out about this you will be fined.
As you build your cash source up you can upgrade to bigger ships and more crew, as well as upgrading your laser (which you will need) or buying an Auto Pilot if you do not have one.
One good thing about this game is that there are so many ways to generate more cash. Once you have a big enough ship you can transport passengers to other planets for a fee. Eventually when you have done all this and you feel comfortable you can accept assassination missions to increase your elite rating much faster. The aim of the game in general is to become "Elite" by getting lots of kills from either Spaceships that attack you or your assassination missions.
This
is a very hard game for anyone without the right mind for doing it and will require a lot of practice before you can fully master it. In overall I give this game 9/10 for gameplay and it becomes very addictive. I find that the best way to start off would be to trade between Bernards Star and Sol, buying minor things at 1st like grain, when you have enough money and enough cargo hold you can start by buying large quantities of computers or robots from Bernards Star and take them to Earth. This is probably the best tactic to get yourself started. There are 2 different factions in this game that you can gain trust and ranks in, they are as follows: Federal and Imperial.
