Fury of the Furries revolves around a little race of creatures, referred to as Tinies or Furries. These furry little beasts were on a space voyage and returned to their home only to find that a wicked and evil furry had transformed the entire world into a horrid place filled with hate.

Fury of the Furries revolves around a little race of creatures, referred to as Tinies or Furries. These furry little beasts were on a space voyage and returned to their home only to find that a wicked and evil furry had transformed the entire world into a horrid place filled with hate. The Wicked One has captured the king, and enslaved the other furries, turning them all into mindless zombies using a machine he created.
The heroic fury can transform itself into four different figures,
each represented by a different color (yellow, red, blue and green) and each colored fury bearing the ability to control a different element (fire, earth, water and air respectively). Each has separate abilities, such as swimming, spitting fireballs, swinging on ropes or eating rocks, which corresponds with its color and elemental affiliation.
The platforms themselves consist of eight stages with one hidden stage, and each stage consisting of several levels. Unlike many platformers, the levels are actually different from one another. They take place in eight different geographical locations, including a desert, forest, mountains, village and a lagoon. They vary from vertical and horizontal movement, which also helps to hold interest, and feature great colors, if not graphics. Each of them is very colorful and requires the use of the elements, puzzle style, in order to complete. The puzzles are not terribly complex, but still require some thought and logic to solve in order to advance to the next screen.
One of the most interesting aspects of Fury of the Furries comes in the final stage when Tiny is fighting the machine used to make mindless monsters of his fellows. In this stage, after the machine emerges from the ocean, Tiny will have a variety of monsters to contend with. The interesting thing is that the enemy characters come from other games such as Batman, TMNT, the Terminator and Battletoads. The heroic furry has to negotiate the path while fighting these baddies in hopes finding the central working of the machine and destroying it.
In summary, this is a cute little game. It is entertaining and features some unique features that make it worth a download. The characters are fun, the graphics are at least lively and colorful and the game play is intriguing and challenging. Beware, though. The gamer can only save after every five levels, so be prepared for a real test.
