Gex is the very first game I've ever played and I loved the style where you have to complete the bonus round if you get the chance to play it... of course. The game has a great music, sound and animation, but the cutscenes were good, too bad there was only one or two.
My favourite level is the cartoon world and the horror world... I prefer playing just those levels than all the rest of the worlds combined. My favourite power-up in the whole game was the ice beam and the fire beam.

My favourite power-up in the whole game was the ice beam and the fire beam... they were cool. My most favourite boss would have to be the cartoon world “Fat Man”, I thought it was very funny the things that happened... too
bad there was no other funny boss other than that one.
The worst thing that I hated was the Res world which took me ages to get to the end of the level and beat the boss. Probably if it was a little easier to do then I would not have to complain all the time. What would have been good is a save function instead of a password… because you must find a tape to get the password for that level which is very hard to find most of the time.
Some of the basic moves Gex does are very good except for the run & jump is a little out of place, meaning that you hardly use it and has inaccurate landings. I love the tail whip attack which is cool, but should have said something every time it is used. The wall stick is cool and the vertical and horizontal wall sticks are very good.
Level design is reasonable good and the baddies are very good, my favourite baddie is the flying tv. I love the way of hitting it and it counts down to blow up… very, very cool. I reckon that the whole game should go longer with wore levels from movies such as star wars, Indy, Good, Bad & Ugly and more to suit the style of the world.
My fantasy world would have to be cartoon world, but I would have Ren & Stimpy as one level in the world, then maybe South Park, or even The Simpsons, Family Guy and maybe even Rocko’s Modern Life which I think everybody would love to see that in Gex.
My thought on this game is that the game is very good coming from the year it was made and if anyone that hasn’t played it doesn't know what they are missing out on and the new standard to gaming.
