Gods is a classic side scrolling game in the vain of Batman (NES) and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES). I remember playing this game in my youth and it was one of the most challenging games I had ever played. So naturally I quit playing it, But a few months ago I was going through some boxes an I had found an old Super Nintendo, and the re was the game sitting right below it. The game is the bane of my existence, I just had to go back and show the game who was boss.

The game is broken into three worlds and after each world you receive a password so you don’t have to replay earlier levels if you loose
a later, harder level. Or just plain don’t have enough time to finish, not that you will want to ever put the game down.
The first of the three worlds is a bit slower getting you ready for the intense god like battles further into the game, allowing you to sharpen your skills like a sword, ready to spill the blood of the enemies that plague the game. The later levels get to be pretty intense.
To aid you in your adventure, there are items for you to pick up. Like with most games there is gold, or some form of money to pick up that will eventually lead to purchasing power up from a shop keeper. So make sure to pick up as much gold as you can, you accomplish this by killing bad guys and just through out the levels. From the shop keeper you can buy an array of things from enemy destroying homing fire balls to some real heavy duty God fearing weapons.
This game went from a total piece of crap that I remembered from a decade a go to be one of the best games I remember ever plating in my life.
The graphics aren't top of the line especially these days, but the game play is way more than worth it. If I had to rate the game on a scale of one to ten, I would give it a nine to a nine three. It’s up there. If you are a fan of side scrolling action games this is the game for you.
