Game Review (written by Zisfg) Added on: 06/06/2007
Do you love classical shooters? This is the first and most important question one must ask before taking about killing time. The game is basically following the old classical formula step by step. Millions of monsters attacking you at once, a strong arsenal of weapons to kill all that moves … and that’s basically what it is all about.
The story line is similar to all classical shooters it is irrelevant. Something about finding an artifact that gives you eternal life. You will end up killing all the bad monsters without thinking about the story.

You will end up killing all the bad monsters without thinking about the story. Mindless fun would have been a better title for this game! It is basically hours and hours of shooting and killing beautifully designed 2-D monster waves. It

is nice to see 2-D monsters, a thing that we as gamers began to miss since Doom. After all this Doom is a clone and a good one.
Simple puzzles are easily solved in the game and very few secrets. You have 22 different kinds of monsters from none threatening to dangerously scary. 8 different weapons do all the damage in this shooter. The classical weapon formula, a shotgun, a flame thrower (like a plasma gun) a grenade launcher (similar to a rocket launcher but harder to use), a BFG like weapon you know the drill. The sad thing in this game is the lack of multiplayer options, a solo selfish game for you only. You alone will brag about your skill but you can never frag your friend showing him what you're really capable of. You are the lone hero.
This is a good game for all classical shooter fans. It is worth your time. This is a breath of fresh air in a market that seems to forget the classical shooter era. A chance to have fun without caring about all the limitations of modern shooters, no hiding, no RPG elements, no secret tasks , no leaning or stalking. None of that, thank you very much, just plane fun.

Your obvious goal is to find the waterclock, but during the course of your adventure you'll begin to unravel secrets that have been locked inside the Conway estate for more than 60 years - secrets that will reveal just what happened to Tess and her high-society pals. But before you can even start worrying about all that you'll need to get busy finding ammo and weapons so you can mow down the innumerable hordes of ghouls, ghosts, and critters who don't share Tess Conway's sense of hospitality.

the game was alright but not a nail biter. i would prefer more action and a little bit more user friendly as i am not one the most functionally literate, or computer savy people in the world.

fast-paced first person shooter - not bad graphics, so so sound. A bit like Clive Barker's undying without the fancy-ass graphics.
