Genre:  Arcade    |     Year: 1997    |     Publisher: Psygnosis     |     Developer: Distinctive Software, Inc.
Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 01/13/2008
Life Force Tenka, also known as Codename Tenka and was released in the late 90s and was created by Distinctive Software Incorporated. This is a futuristic action game set in the 2096 in a post-apocalyptic setting.
There is only one remaining colony left and the planet earth is war torn and on the verge of destruction. The pollution is out of control and there is absolutely no way the human race could survive in the planet. The people want to establish a new life in Extrevius 328, a new colony off Earth.
The Extrevius is said to be the Promised Land, a Utopian colony, where humans can once again live in peace and abundance. What people don’t know is Extrevius 328 is actually a corporate giant that build Bionoids- creatures that are half humans and half droids. These Bionoids are deadly warriors. People who are enlisted to be part of Extrevius 328 are actually turned into deadly Bionoids.
You will play the role of Joseph B. Tenka, a human that was enlisted for Extrevius 328. However you are aware that you will be turned into a Bionoid by Extrevius 328. You are not happy with this set-up and wish to put a stop to the plans of the conglomerate. In this firs person shooter game, you

go on your mission to destroy the Extrevius 328 before they enlist any more men for conversion into Bionoids. Before going on your quest, you put on a warfare suit to help you to defeat whatever enemies Extrecius 328 sends your way. There are also plenty of weapons that will be made available to you as you face the different Bionoids in the game.
The gameplay is very similar to Doom so those who have had experience playing that game will have an easy time learning and playing this one. At the start of each level, you will be briefed with your mission. The graphics are good and the sounds add to the whole creepy ambiance of the game so you can really get into the mood of playing it. There were better action games released in the 90s but this is definitely a good one.
This is a great shooters game that you can play on lazy Sunday afternoons when you just want nothing but to stay in your room to play. I recommend that you download it now. It’s very enjoyable and worth it.
