Major Stryker game is a high paced, side scrolling, action game and a good one at that. It has that element of challenge but not to challenging and completely rocked my world. It has a slight hint of comedy as your ship explodes for the final time "game over man." You’re a flight pilot on an action packed, intense, rollercoaster coast of fun that contains fleets of enemies, bases, and bosses which you must best with your supreme skill.
The graphics are good for the time it was created, and the game play is very fluid and fun.

The graphics are good for the time it was created, and the game play is very fluid and fun. The missions are designed fairly well but on the downside allot of patterns are consistent, in fact almost all of them are, but that’s the kind of
game this is. There are so many different levels and in each they all seem to have their own differences.
You'll fly through volcanic hells, over the beautiful but deadly waters, over the corrupted forests, and some of the most challenging of bases. Throughout the game though you attain many cool power ups to aid major on his quest. You get weapons modifies which can get up to greater lengths as you go on your journey and best more foes. You'll get bombs which wipe out almost anything in your path, which I must add are extremely fu to use. You will also come across various shields ands the standard health items as well.
This is defiantly a must play in my book but on the downside it does resemble allot of the previous flight simulator fighting games. Around the time it came out there were other competing games that had similar features. As you gain weapons power ups the number of bullets you fire do increase, as seen in other games. The bomb idea has also been seen before even on NES, SNES, and even SEGA counsels which are home gaming systems which around the time these games came out, were seemingly comparable unlike nowadays when your computer can dominate even the new flashy systems.
I enjoy many dos games, but when it comes to flight simulators I absolutely recommend that you at least give this one a fair shot. It's got everything you could ask for in a dos game and unlike most games I have played, leave you less frustrated with dying just because of that little comedic line.
Major Stryker is always going to remain one of the favourites in my gaming collection and because of the fun I have experienced while playing this game, I give it a 9 out of 10.
