Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is the actual Japanese follow up to the original Metal Gear. It is an incredibly fun game. You play as a field operative known as Solid Snake.
This game is one of the precursors to Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Ac!d. You get many awesome gadgets and weapons. This game can also be difficult though. I was once stuck for 3 hours straight trying to figure out a boss’ weakness. This game can also get a bit repetitive. This game’s duration is very long, especially for a classic game.

Like many other Metal Gear titles you have to rescue a scientist and destroy Metal Gear. This game was designed and directed by Hideo Kojima. Many items from this game appear as cards in Metal
Gear Ac!d, a very fun PlayStaition Portable (PSP) game. There are actually many similarities between this and the Game Boy Color, GameCube, and PlayStaition versions of the original Metal Gear Solid.
Unlike the first Metal Gear, this game featured cut scenes and the negative effects of warfare. In Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Snake also begins to speak more and the codec screen was completely revised. You can also switch stances. The animations and character looks are very American, rather than Japanese like in Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Ac!d.
This game has many plot twists like all other Metal Gear games. This game is often confused with the American version entitled Snake’s Revenge, which was a black sheep game to the series along with Metal Gear: Ghost Babel a.k.a. the Game Boy Color version of Metal Gear Solid.
This game was developed by the widely popular video game company known as Konami. I would recommend this game to people ages 14 and older due to violent and other inappropriate elements. (It had many for an old game.) This game series has a lot to do with parallel universes and paradox and it can get very confusing. This game also has a bunch of political stuff flying around as well as the oil market and fusions and other stuff like that. The bosses are also pretty hard. The artificial intelligence in this game is unbelievably good for an old game, too. Some of physical mechanics are pretty bad though. The graphics compared to Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, on PlayStaition 2, the newest main console Metal Gear game, are utterly pathetic. In conclusion, I highly recommend this game, it is excellent, no questions asked.
