When I first played Out of this World, I was impressed by how fluid the game moved and played. The artwork and music really bring the strange alien world to life.
As you first start the game, you find yourself in a strange new world, somehow transported there while working on your computer. When you begin to explore the world, you will find it to be quite dangerous. The first thing I remember about playing this game was that it only took about one minute for me to die.

As you first start the game, you find yourself in a strange new world, somehow transported there while working on your computer. When you begin to explore the world, you will find it to be quite dangerous. The first thing I remember about playing this game was that it only took about one minute for me to die. It appeared that a small slug-like creature had crawled up to me, and in an interesting cut-scene, a razor-like claw popped out of it and stung me in the leg. Like many of the challenges
in the game, you may not overcome them the first time around. Kicking the slugs before they sting you will keep you alive, which is easy enough. Some of the later challenges prove to be more difficult.
For me it was aggravating at time trying to get past certain parts of the game. There is not always a clear sense of what to do in certain areas, but the intense action and interesting scenery of the alien city keeps you compelled. When you first get a laser gun, it takes a bit to get used to how to operate it. I was turned into a charred, black husk many times throughout playing this game. Death in Out of this World can be interesting at times, when there are cut-scenes depicting your demise. However, those cut-scenes can also irritate you when you die the same way ten times trying to get past certain parts.
Patience with this game will reward you with progressively more rewarding experiences however, and you will soon be laughing at the aliens and their attempts to catch you. The storyline progresses with no dialogue to speak of, however you are certainly given the impression that the alien beings would like to capture you alive if possible, but that doesn't stop them from frying you to the bone if you can't be otherwise subdued.
At the start of the game, you are being held captive with one of the aliens in a large cage, suspended over a large chasm. The two of you need to work together to swing your cell over to a nearby ledge, and from then on you will meet up with him periodically while trying to escape.
Overall this is a very good game, even if it is a little bit hard at times. If you have any amount of patience, this game will not disappoint.
