Game Review 1 (written by Lordrockyvii) Added on: 09/19/2006
Pac-Man for all those who have blown quarters in the past in the arcade just trying to get that next banana to get the latest high score this game brings back tons of memories, and dare I say never gets old. Almost a straight port of the old arcade goodness we all came to know and love this version will leave those people happy from beginning to end.
Obviously unless you’re a person who packs a hardcore joystick that’s computer compatible some of the old feel will be gone replaced with a new movement scheme.
After adjusting though its straight back to the strangely addicting formula of getting those next pellets, destroying the ghosts, and inevitably achieving the temporary fame of getting the high score.
For those people who have never played Pac-Man the general concept is easy to pick up on and easy to play as well. You are Pac-Man a pellet crazed circle with a mouth who wants nothing more than to get his daily fill of dots before retiring and returning to the next map. So you start on a map filled with around a hundred little dots and your job, obviously, is to collect them all. However, there are a team of four ghosts, Inky, Blinky, Pinky, and Sue, who will stop at nothing

to destroy Pac-Man on his quest to eat.
Along with the little dots our hero must collect are several larger dots that are commonly referred to as power pellets. These power pellets essentially make Pac-Man invincible, turning the ghosts a sickly shade of blue, signifying that upon coming in contact with them, Pac-Man will eat them for an increasing amount of points as long as the power pellet lasts. After a couple seconds the ghosts will return to their home in the center to be re-released to wreck havoc on our hero. Eating the ghosts and collecting the dots, combined with eating a differing array of real food, is how Pac-Man achieves getting points, bringing you closer to the high score.
All in all Pac-Man is a classic incredibly enjoyable game and should be picked up by everyone whether you’re a fan from its creation, or someone who’s wondering why a semi-circle eating ghost is cool.

Game Review 2 (written by Bassplayr1951) Added on: 08/25/2006
Oh what a classic, you can never go wrong with great old pacman, whether it brings back memories of your favorite old time pizza parlor or of your very first video game ever played this is a great nostalgic classic that also provides excellent gameplay. Although the graphics are nonexistent when you are used to playing games that use the full extent of your nvidia, pacman does not rely on its graphics for its fun value. The sheer joy that can be derived from eating white dots while avoiding blue creatures is irreplaceable even with the amazing technology available in video games today.
Come on you should know this by now but the gameplay is very simple. Basically run around trying to consume all the white dots while avoiding being touched by any of the blue creatures wandering around in the maze with you. Run over a large white dot and you turn the tables on those pesky blue guys and get to chase them for a short time before they revert back to their pacman eating selves. Once all the white dots are gone you get to move on to the next stage with each stage getting progressively harder. That’s the general gist of the game we so fondly call pacman.
Replayability depends on your ability to be entertained by a giant mouth eating white dots. Although it is pretty easy to beat the first time there is something that consistently draws you back into the game and doesn’t let you go. Although you may put down the game for a week or two you’ll find a strange craving about every two weeks for pacman again. The very fact that pacman is still around after all these years is a testimony to its awesome ability to suck people back in even after long absences from the game.
That’s about all there is to this game, if you don’t know what pacman is about shame on you and you should get the game from somewhere in order to not be totally out of the loop, seriously it is very sad if you have never played pacman. I seriously cannot give this game enough credit just for the fact of all the years it’s been around. Very enjoyable, decent replayability, and an aspect that keeps sucking you back into your childhood remembering playing it at your local pizza parlor makes this game a must have somewhere on your computer.

Just like you remember it. Our favorite yellow little pie-with-a-missing-piece is avoiding the ghouls and is eating more pills than Chris Farley at a pharmacy.

I Love Pac Man and Mrs. Pac Man, I could play this game for hours on end.You have different mazes that you must run around and eat pellets, you must eat them all before the colored ghosts est you.you also get power pellets that you can eat to turn the ghost blue so you can eat them the more you eat before they turn back the more points you get! Also you have a chance to really rack up your score by eating fruit, different fruit for different levels, with different amounts of points ! Wow, how I love this game! This is like bringing the eithies back!
