Pandemonium is a game that certainly arouses feelings of nostalgia whether you have played this game before or not. This game catches your attention from the beginning and will most likely hold it all the way through. The games graphics are fantastic as you will be able to see for yourself, and the game is simply candy for the eye.
You choose between two characters; a jester or a sorceress who unintentionally summon up a giant enemy and are forced to then destroy it, in which you step in by completing a number of very vivid, dream-like platform levels.
Although it is quite a challenging game, I recommend you still give it a go as it is certainly very fun and consequently rather addictive.
Some negative aspects of the game do apply. For instance it is one of those games where you cannot save in the middle of a level so it often becomes tedious when you die right before the level finishes and are therefore forced to restart the level. It goes by the principle by a post level password system which can be very frustrating at times.
The game is aplenty with bizarre creatures, locations and surprises. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to jump on clouds then this game is definitely for you. Ice slides, level bosses, secret places, magic spells,
treasures, traps, you name it, this game has probably got it. The imagination behind this game is amazing.
Like mentioned above, this game is quite a difficult one so if you don't like a challenge this game isn't necessarily suited for you as it is really easy to lose a life in this game and subsequently be taken to the beginning of your current level. Honestly though a little game play and you will begin to get used to it and enjoy the splendid graphics, imaginative scenery and constant surprises throughout the game.
In a nutshell, Pandemonium is a game which can be played and enjoyed by many different audiences whether you play DOS games or even the latest PSP games. As an all age recommended game, it will certainly capture the imagination of even the most sceptical of people. This is a game which you won't finish in one days' play and although it is rather challenging and has its few flaws don't let that put you off this magical game.
