Paperboy 2 is a classic fun arcade game that can be played with one or two players.
The aim is to deliver as many letters as possible, however there are a few traps to overcome first. Dogs and cars are hazards, and there is a crazy ghost that tries to attack. If you're not careful you can also upset the press by firing letters in the wrong places such as hitting a shower next to a women’s sun bed. The most amusing one is when you hit the lawnmower or pig and they chase after you! You can also gain bonus points by hitting the burglar and the baby to prevent it from being run over!
The 2 player mode is turn based but that won't lead to boredom because each turn doesn't really last very long.

Graphics are bright colorful VGA and sound is music with sound, typical sound blaster fare.
Longevity is limited. There are several levels and gets harder each time but the map is virtually the same, there is an assault bike course to complete each time too before all is done. Otherwise it’s pretty similar each time, only that bit more challenging. However even though it is limited, you keep coming back for more, and play it with your mates and it gets more attractive still.
The game is highly addictive and quite humorous in places.
Needs 286 or higher with 640KB of memory to run, a 486 will reward you better though especially if it has a SoundBlaster card in it. No need for a mouse, it all works via the keys.
Will also run happily on a high end PC using dos box. These old games are in some ways more fun than modern ones. They're a lot more simple, 2D based and that can make them easier to control if less realistic than a modern interpretation.
Its one of my favorites, not up to lotus or winter Olympics in terms of longevity but close.
Paper boy 2 is a fun arcade game that’s good to play for half an hour or so when you just want to play a quick game. It’s also fun with your mates. Whilst longevity is limited by the similar maps, it’s got to be worth a download. I'd rate it as one of the dos games I used to play most when I was a kid. And even now you can see why I enjoyed it so much all those years ago. Its just fun not sophisticated but light hearted humorous fun.
