Pharaoh’s Tomb is an arcade game released in the early 90s. As Nevada Smith, an archaeological student, you are on a treasure hunt inside the Pharaoh’s tomb. There are only 20 levels in this game which is set inside a pyramid but there are enough puzzles and obstacles in each level to keep you interested in the game for a long while.
You use a map that you initially had to steal from the professor. You were actually the one who discovered the map but professor took the credit for finding it.

You use a map that you initially had to steal from the professor. You were actually the one who discovered the map but professor took the credit for finding it. Now you want to reclaim the fame that was stolen from you and also go on the most amazing archaeological adventure ever.
The game gives you five lives and a few
spears at the start of each game. As you go through the pyramid there will be enemies that you can hit with your spears. You can collect coins and other treasures on the screen. There will also be hidden coins and surprises much like how coins are hidden in blocks in the game Mario Bros. The enemies consist of mummies who watch over the pyramid and spiders that live in the pharaoh’s tomb. There are also booby traps and weapons that are set off and will try to hit you. You must be very careful when going through the different rooms. After you collect the coins in one level, you must find the key that unlocks the door to the next room.
The controls are pretty easy to manage as you only need to use the arrow keys to direct your character inside the pyramid. The 2-D graphics and the sounds of the game are pretty simple as how most of the arcade games released in the early 90s were. You can easily finish this game but don’t delete it right away. It’s definitely the kind of game that you would consider playing over and over again.
This is a great game for those who want to experience the more basic yet absolutely fun classic games. Often it’s the simple games like Pharaoh’s tomb that really stand the test of time and remain a favourite of those who got to experience them the first time they were released.
I suggest you download this game now and see how much fun early gamers had despite the lack of insane graphics and other details in the games that they played. It's definitely worth the time.
