Pinball Fantasies is a very good pinball adventure. I say adventure because the games variety of maps and effects puts a fresh twist to the old game of fun pinball. It isn’t the most arcades like pinball and offers a true sense of hardcore play that will challenge you at every step. Its style and difficulty match the ideas of that of the pinball machines in arcades everywhere. I love to play pinball on the machines, and this is in fact the next best thing to jamming quarters into one.

I suggest getting this game and trying to compete with your own score to see how well you fair against the mechanics of a pinball machine. This games difficulty varies from that of most “new school “ pinball titles since it seems to be a bit harder and has a deeper core.
However, after playing for a little while you will simply breeze by the learning curve and start flapping the bars for hours. Kids may love the game, but only after a session of practice first, since its difficulty seems to be pretty far onto the hard side. Old school pinball adults and pinball addicts however will rejoice at the fact that there is such realism in a computer pinball game that is totally free and have the ability to play right from a home PC!

I believe that some people may enjoy this game just as much if not more, then the game tables out there at the arcades! The use of fun maps and creative background styling add to the excitement and frantic pace involved in pinball and trying to topple the high scores of you or friends. I suggest having a friend or family member to play with and switching back and forth trying to conquer each other’s best try at the game of pinball.
