Privateer: Righteous Fire is a flight simulation game based in the future. You will have a selection of missions to take part in. This missions consist of escort, search and destroy, and commodity. The game consists of flying and fighting using your ship in outer space. You will be going from system to system using jump points which will land you on bases or planets. You will be able to interact with people, buy or sell equipment or commodities. There are so many things to do; you just won’t know where to start.

When you are flying your view will be in a first person view from the inside of the cockpit seeing your entire cockpit screens and the outer space in front of your ship. When you are going from one part to another you will have a third person view from outside the ship until you’ve transferred to your next location. You are able to travel in any direction with this game and when it comes to the upgrades you can do as much as you earn from each mission. There are so many options for your ship that the upgrades are endless. The better your ship gets the further from home you can go.
The graphics are well done. The game looks like an RPG of X-Wing. The only difference is there is a lot more ways you can design it in your own ways making the graphics change slightly. When you are on the planets and bases there is the use of a first person view that shows the rooms and the people. When you are buying and selling you will be placed into an in game menu.
There are different weapons and selection of weapons for every ship. Some of the ships are able to have turrets, which can be mounted, on several places on your ship. With every ship having different weapons, the game is endless with different possibilities.
As the player you are able to decide how you want to play. You can take the part of a merchant or be a fighter and take part in combat. When you play as a merchant you are trying to make a profit by going from planet to planet buying and selling. When you are taking part in the combat you doing a non-plot mission. The difference between plot and non plot missions is that in plot missions you are doing exact things that you are supposing to and in non plot you can do what ever you feel like.
Privateer: Righteous Fire is a great flight simulation game for all ages. It is not too difficult to play once you learn the controls. There are so many options for things to do there is no way you will find yourself getting bored any time soon.
