RayCrisis is a vertical shooter game that was released by Taito. The game will have you running special ships called Wave Runners. There are three different types of ships that you can choose from and each ship has its strengths and weaknesses. Each ship has its own weapons and abilities.
The game features fantastic graphics that create a good atmosphere for the gamer to enjoy. One of the strongest features of the game is the many 3D environments. Also it features backgrounds that range from cities to deserts.
The game has two modes: the Original and the Special Mode. In the Original mode you can choose three levels that you want to play. In the Special mode, you are given a predetermined set of levels that you have to complete. You are given only one life for the Special mode so you really have to make sure you make smart decisions in the game.
RayCrisis is pretty short but it’s not easy to defeat. It is pretty difficult so more experienced players are likely to have more fun with the game than novice players. There are so many opponents that you have to take down with your ships. You also can not take too many tries to be able to defeat the
final boss. You will be given a disappointing ending to the game if you are not successful in defeating the boss for too many times. This alternate ending is not what you would get if you did really well with just a few tries in trying to defeat the boss.
The game has pretty decent sounds. As for the game play, if you have experienced playing the other Layer Selection games then the game will definitely seem familiar to you. The controls are also not different from most shooters game.
Because of the difficulty of the game and the choices of three ships the game is enjoyable even if you play it again and again. The fact that it is a short game even works to its advantage because you don’t have to spend too much time going through hundreds of endless levels that make the game too cumbersome.
The game was also ported for other systems and was even created for the Sony playstation. The two games that came before this game are better but this game is still enjoyable.
