Rick is back and this time he means business. So the story continues from the previous Rick has just returned from his adventure and plan's to rest and relax in London.
Unfortunately, London is being attacked by ALIENS.
So as you can guess Rick is off on another adventure. He starts off in Hyde Park where the mothership is.
So for those of you who are too young to remember or those who have just never heard of Rick Dangerous, The game is a 2D platform adventure game which if you have played the first you unfortunately will not find much of a change in gameplay or graphics either.
Ricks weapon of choice is a Ray gun and bombs, both, unfortunately for you and Rick, are on short supply.
You will also find that you have to be very wise when using your weapons as you will find that you will be out of ammo very often and can be just ever so slightly annoying.
The gameplay, as I have said, is fairly basic you make your way through the fairly long levels destroying and killing anything in your way.
There are various traps and different courses to follow in the game and the difficulty of the game jumps from slightly difficult to extremely hard with in just a few levels.
There are some puzzle aspects in the game like finding and turning on switches to activate lifts,
laser beams and other things.
Even though the game is difficult it is strangely addictive even when repeating the same part of the game over and over and you have kicked and punch everything around you in frustration you still get the nagging urge to go back again and keep trying.
The sound effects of the game are as you would expect for a game made in 1990 are fairly weak, but other then that the game has great depth and even though it only has 5 levels yup 5 you have to remember they are fairly long and at the start of the game there is a fairly useful level select option and the at the beginning of each level there are some amusing animations which helps put you in just the right mood.
So taking all that into account Rick Dangerous 2 is a fairly good game and you can't go wrong with downloading it.
