As the air hockey professional, you are allowed to choose from opponents such as the lovely but snobbish Princess Bejin to the ruthless DC3. Play opponents in a single match to determine their strengths and weaknesses and log them within your memory for tournament play. Or go straight ahead into mad tournament action and face each opponent that wanders into the café.
Shufflepuck café is based on the classic game of air hockey, which is played on a flat surface, similar to billiards. Miniature holes in the table’s surface allow air to be pushed forward to the table’s surface, creating a pillow of air, just skimming the smooth top.

Shufflepuck café is based on the classic game of air hockey, which is played on a flat surface, similar to billiards. Miniature holes in the table’s surface allow air to be pushed forward to the table’s surface, creating a pillow of air, just skimming the smooth top. On this pillow, a round flat plastic puck, less than three inches in diameter,
can float. Players use paddles or bats to push the puck back and forth at one another, using angles, speed and agility to try to maneuver the puck past the defending player’s bat. In front of each player is receptacle going into the table called a goal. If the puck slides past a player and into the goal, the offensive player gains one point. Play continues until one player reaches a set number of points, generally five or seven.
Shufflepuck café is a simulation game and has many factors similar to the actual game of air hockey. For example, it is possible for you to become your own worst enemy by mishandling the puck when you are in control and accidentally knocking it into your own goal to score a point for your opponent. Errant hits can result in airborne pucks, and reaching too far across the table for a slowing puck can leave your goal unguarded for an easy score if you are not careful. The opponents all have distinctively different styles of play, and each have moves and tricks that they favor, similar to human opponents. Just guard your goal, and figure out your opposition before the score gets too high and you lose! This is a fun play for those who like action, and also a good game for fans of the old classic air hockey game.
