In Skunny: Back to the Forest, Skunny stars in his own video game. As a child, Skynny was often entertained by his father’s tales of his own adventures and misadventures. Skunny knew he wanted to grow up and follow in his father’s footsteps by starring in some
video games. He contacted many computer companies, and no one was interested in a video game starring a squirrel. So, Skunny hired his own people and created Copysoft, his own company. After several unsuccessful attempts to scan Skunny and get him into the video games (he was left in black and white and without a tail), Skunny was finally shrunk in the washing machine and sent…Back to the Forest.
Skunny and his super model girlfriend, Rosie, is on vacation in the Bahamas. While they are away, the King Toad has decided to lay a trap for Skunny. He has captured all of the little gray squirrels in the area in hopes that Skunny will try to rescue them and be captured. Of course, it would not be a game if Skunny did not take the bait. He leaves his vacation and returns to battle the King Toad’s toad henchmen. In order to defeat the toad henchmen, Skunny must locate the Super Healthnut on each level and glean the ability to fly and destroy his environment. Without the Super Healthnut, Skunny loses a life immediately upon touching a toad henchman.
There are a total of ten platform episodes in each game, and in each level, Skunny has to enter the level, collect various goodies, and jump on the insect enemies to dispatch of them as he searches for the Super Healthnut. He will face snails, bees, ants, and a variety of other garden enemies. Skunny will collect candy, fruit and many other treats, including the actually healthy looking glass of milk. The platforms will require some precision jumping to avoid falls into the ocean or down bottomless cliffs, which cause loss of life. Upon finding the Super Healthnut, Skunny will be able to fly back through the landscape and strike the toad henchman, advancing to the next level.
Skunny: Back to the Forest, as usual, provides a fun, fast paced little platforming play. It is colorful, engaging, and addictive. It is recommended for download.
