Game Review (written by Glen) Added on: 03/01/2007
I remember playing this game years ago on my father's computer. The graphics are dated, the sounds are annoying and the animation is basic, but it had one overall quality factor. It was damn fun.
You start of on the runway of your airbase, and you have to take off. From there, you have to shoot down all enemy bi-planes in the area, before they could destroy you and/or your base. The dog fighting is fairly simple – get behind the enemy and shoot him up till he falls out of the sky, and make sure he doesn’t do that to you.

Destroying the various targets on the map, and then land again. That is, if your OWN runway

hasn’t been bombed into moon surface by the enemy.
Landing is fun too. If your hanger hasn’t been destroyed, you have to level out your plane on the runway, carefully taxi it inside and cut your engine at the right moment, or you crash. What makes this game so fun - like I stated earlier - is the amount of realism it had in it for the day.
You could set the options to have ammunition limitations, plus fuel. You ran out of bombs, there was no way you could bomb the rest of the targets. You ran out of fuel and you simply drop out of the sky. When you were flying, it was just fun to spin around, and try and shoot the enemy out of the sky, all the while, trying to protect your own base, and destroy theirs.
Your plane can perform lop-the-lops, and if you go too high, you fall into a tail spin from which it takes a while to recover from, allowing you to pull out of the deadly dive before you are one with the ground. It was those little qualities that made this game so fun to play it back then.
It's all dated by now, but if you're looking for a good time, I recommend this game.
