Game Review (written by Aropax) Added on: 12/05/2006
This game is one of the greatest games ever created, it is an absolute classic anybody who has ever heard anything about video games, they would of heard something about space invaders. It rivals some gaming greats such as Pac-man and Tetris. It was the stepping block of almost every shooting game ever made; the game can be enjoyed by any person at any age, because of the simplicity of the controls. The object of the game is to move the little tank/spaceship from side to side whilst firing a barrage of bullets into a horde of aliens that are slowly moving across and down the screen, slowly gain more speed after each drop.

The player is given a set number o barriers to help defend your self because these alien can fire at you. these barriers can be shot apart by either you or the advancing horde of alien scum, useful tactics include shooting a thing hole in one of the barriers to create a sort of torrent like object, whilst only moving when a shot goes down the for the lack of a better word tunnel. Another is moving from side to side very quickly whilst firing repeatedly it may sound foolish but it works fairly well. As fantastically good it is, then game isn’t without its flaws, the first being then non-existent power ups, it would be great every now and then there being

a little add-on that makes your ship move quicker or its rate of fire increase dramatically, and other flaw being the sheer easiness of the levels it doesn't really get any difficult until like the 7th level, the third flaw being the sheer repetitiveness of the alien types it would be nice for a change to have a different variety of aliens come down at you from the stars. The last and possibly the biggest flaw for space invaders is the repetitiveness of the whole game in general, blasting aliens that slowly come own at you can only be fun for a short while before it becomes more like a chore. But none the less this game is still fantastic its simple easy controls make sure anybody can play from 4 years to 90 years olds with arthritis. It is a great game and reminds us of the time of simpler things, I urge anybody with the slight interest in video games to download it.
Now go on and have some fun.
