Game Review (written by Ranger_miguel) Added on: 05/16/2007
This is a very entertaining action flight simulation game. There are 8 planets to explore, and 2 extra stages that are just as fun as exploring the planets. You will need to defeat countless enemies with various power ups like plasma cannons, lasers and missiles that make this game a good choice for the Star Wars X-Wing game fans.
The game takes place in the twenty seventh century. Alien forces are waging war on the earth and your mission is to figure out a way to get to these alien planets, investigate the reasons for the attacks on the earth and put an end to the alien attacks.

I won’t go into too much detail of what the causes are as to not spoil

the game but the story line is well thought out and that makes this game stand out from many other pointless flight simulation games out there. The area you can explore in this game is vast I read in a different review that it spans over 400,000 square miles. It sounds like a lot but cruising in a twenty seventh century fighter ship with aliens shooting plasma, lasers and missiles at your back you will be able to cover that distance in no time at all.
The terrain varies from each planet you visit, some planets have an abundance of water, some are more earth based and have big mountains. Others are covered in trees and every game with different elemental planets has to have the classic frozen or ice planet. The AI in this game is also something to talk about. Although it’s an old game the computes AI is quite challenging and not something to be taken lightly.
There are four types of enemies in this game: immobile targets like turrets, mobile targets like robots, air targets and great big bosses all equipped with their standard alien technology cannons and missiles that make this game well rounded for any action flight simulator.

Enjoyable game with a good storyline, fast paced and challenging. Once you start playing set aside a couple of hours, because you will not want to stop. Definitely recommended.

It's a great first person shooter with a lot of enemies to destroy. Plus there are a number of gates that will allow you to enter an underground complex to fight even more enemies. You will without a doubt enjoy this game immensely.

Earth sends you as the pilot of it's finest spacecraft to defend against aliens that were once your allies. Highly recommended!
