Review For Virtua Squad By HKgamer
Virtua Squad or Virtua Cop has always been a favorite game of mine. First released in the arcades as Virtua Cop, since the first time I played it I have been nothing short of amazed by it even to this day. The graphics, gameplay, sound, detail, and the ability to shoot anything and everything with some effects were great. When I found out that you could get it for your PC as Virtua Squad I just had to get it. This game is made by Sega by the AM2 section. Well known in arcades as producers of games like Desert Tank, Virtua Cop, Virtua Cop 2, Virtua Cop 3, Virtua Racing, Virtua On, Virtua Tennis, Virtua Fighter, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Fighter 3, and Daytona USA, in my opinion they make some of the best games both for arcade, console and PC!
Starting out: After starting the game up you are presented with the title screen. Just click on the screen with your mouse and on you go. You are presented with a prompt allowing you to choose between the game, training, options, and exit. Game allows you to play the actual game and training allows you to practice target shooting via various scenarios.
Gameplay: As stated above, training allows you to practice target shooting. There are two options in training. Basic and vs. training. Basic is training by yourself and vs. mode is against a computer or another player. These are different modes of target practice that get increasingly difficult as the player progresses from each round. If choosing game (arcade mode) then you have a choice of beginner, intermediate, and expert. For all modes of gameplay, you basically use the left mouse to shoot and right to reload and you always start with a pistol (6 rounds). Anyways when playing shoot everything like barrels and boxes for different weapons. For example, you can get a shotgun, automatic, machine gun and rifle. Shoot barrels for explosions. Watch out for hostages and grenade throwers! There are bosses in this game as well. That is pretty much it, simple but fun gameplay. Game doesn’t last too long but is really fun anyways.
Final words: A fun game with good sound/effects and fun gameplay. Remember to shoot all sorts of things like windows and boxes for cool effects. Is this game just like Virtua Cop from the arcades? Yes and no. Yes for graphics, sound, etc. No, because you don’t get a toy gun to shoot at the screen. Still, download this game if you like the arcade version!

Mahesh-k2 (08/08/2007) This game is a good one to play on, which gives complete thrill as well as entertainment to the fullest extent which one could expect or aspire from playing the games. Not only does this provide the player with such pleasure, but it is also an instructive one so as to enable one's I Q. One can boost or enhance its IQ as well as presence of mind by constantly playing such games as they offer the player with very little time to think or decide what to do in a particular situation.Shwan (12/26/2006) I saw this game in an arcade once.
