Wreckers is one of the first PC games I have ever played, you start off by selecting 1 of 3 different characters to command, you then get teleported/cryogenically unfrozen (cant remember which) and you proceed to patrol around the space station, you have 3 robots who help defend the station with you, however you can go to the robot factory area and build several more. After a short period of time green blobs start invading your base and you have to repel them, using the robots and your own little laser cannon, however if you die you will be turned into a giant green blob which walks round attacking the robots.

You then have to pick one of the 2 remaining pilots
to go to the station and help the robots destroy the big green blob you had become! There are several different types of droids you can get, and they get damaged, and ill whilst combating the green blobs. You have to have droid doctors to help them repair themselves. During the game you receive field promotions allowing you access to better droids. The space station is split down into 4 quadrants, 2 on each tier and the tiers are connected via a lift. The robots can traverse to the different tiers via the lift as can the player, however the player can also use a space suit and float around outside the station. The quadrant attacked by the green blobs is normally random, but occasionally more than 1 quadrant gets attacked at the same time. Certain quadrants have different consoles in them. The 3rd quadrant has the robot factory, and the 2nd quadrant has the gravity controls, which if the room is totally overwhelmed by green blobs means your character as well as the robots start to float and are rendered pretty useless until the control room has been retaken by yourself! There is only one robot that is immune to the gravity effects which is the cleaner. The cleaner robot is pretty good at every aspect of things and what with the gravity defying ability is extremely important in your bases defenses! I would recommend wreckers to anyone who loves good old fashion games you can spend hours upon hours playing constantly. It especially suits those who love sci-fi programs from back in the day such as the original startrek. It has a very old sci-fi feeling to it.
I would rate this game:
7/10.
