The WWF: European Rampage was created in the early 90s for various systems including the Amiga, Atari ST, and the DOS for PC. The game, created by Ocean Software Limited was released after the success of the original WWF video game-- Wrestlemania.
The game is called the European Rampage because the wrestlers battle it out in different locations all over Europe. The game is fought inside the wrestling ring. You can also beat the hell out of your opponents outside the ring on the arena floor but you can only do so for ten seconds.

If you spend more than ten seconds on the arena floor, the game will end.
The
game is based on a tag team competition and so you have to choose two wrestlers to form your team. The game features some of the most popular WWF characters during that time which includes: Hulk Hogan, Bret “The Hitman” Hart, and Macho Man Randy Savage. With your two wrestlers, you now have to go against other tag teams to reach the title bout. The tag teams that you have to go against are the following tandems: Earthquake & Typhoon the Natural Disasters, Knobs & Sags the Nasty Boys, and Million Dollar Man Ted Dibasie & IRS “Money Incorporated”. After you have defeated these men, you move on to fight the ultimate tag team composed of the Legion of Doom Hawk and Animal. They are the WWF Tag Team Champions.
The game has decent graphics and game play and is a really enjoyable game to play. The controls are very easy to learn so you won’t have a hard time playing this game even if you are new to it. The only downside is the game can be repetitive at times.
You will see your wrestler’s life bar at the tops of the screen. Your goal is to beat your opponents before your life energy is completely diminished. The game features some pretty awesome wrestling moves that really add excitement to the game.
This game will be best enjoyed by WWF wrestling fans who were witnesses to the wresting federation’s most popular period. I do not expect those who do not enjoy wrestling to become totally enamored by the game simply because there are far more interesting games that have been released since then. I’d say if you are a big fan of wrestling, download this game but if you’re not I suggest you reserve your hard drive space for another game.
