Game Review (written by Xenoprobe) Added on: 09/22/2007
I love this game. Basically, you are the spaceship and must 'abduct' the creatures that run across the screen. Some of them are pitted against you, some are eager to board. Regardless of how they feel about you, you must abduct them. How cooperative (or not) that they are is what makes X-Fools: Abduct This! challenging and fun.

This is a straight-forward game; the characters available for abductions range from cows, a screaming yokel, an angry round dude, oafish coppers and little green aliens.
All of the characters run back and forth across the screen and you must use the spaceship's tractor beam to levitate them to the ship. The round man shoots and kills the aliens, so he is worth scooping up before he blasts the little guys away, inhibiting your ability to abduct them. The coppers, they have firing power and shoot at the UFO which draws power from it, so stay clear of them. It is worth mentioning that the cops are the hardest to scoop up and require the UFO to be directly above them and low to the ground. The cows are weighty too and are worth the fewest points, so I avoid them unless there's no one else running

across the screen. The little yokel lady is my favourite as she yells "Oh Darn!' when the ship scoops her up. The little green men that run around are apparently members of your race. As they run back and forth on the screen, they are periodically reaching up to the sky calling "home, home, home" until you lift them from harm's way.

It really is an over explanation, but the cows = 100 pts, the woman = 200, the man = 500, the cops are 700 and the aliens are 1000 pts. So, as you get comfortable with the game you can start to be a more discerning UFO abductor/savior to gain the maximum amount of points.

As with the rest of the X-Fools games, the winner gets accolades that would suit an x-files devotee; ranks are "special agent" "Assistant Director" etc. The higher the ranks are awardes for the higher scores. So I urge any old X-Files fans to try abducting this!

This is great game! It has a lot of fun! If you didn’t play it, I recommend doing it immediately! You’ll have a lot of fun!
