I have played Backgammon for a few years now and I love it! When I was first learning about the game, I thought that it was boring, but my friend online so I kept watching her. Once I felt confident that I knew the rules well enough to begin a game of my own, I played against my friend. In just a month or so I was beating her at Backgammon! She is considered an average player so I was feeling pretty good that I was at least as good as her.
Now she will not even play against me anymore. But, that doesn't stop me from playing against anyone else I can get to play a game of backgammon with me.
This game is highly addictive! You have to really think at times what your moves will be both for the current dice roll and for the next dice roll your opponent might have. What I really like about this game is that you have to a basic of knowledge of the rules, but because there are dice involved, you don't have to know the game moves completely before you play. The dice in the game make it a variable to kind of offset you against playing the pc
or an opponent in a tournament or just a single battle! The more skill you have, the better! As I said, you can be a beginner and still get hooked. I did and so are many, much more people every day! But, the more skills you gain playing and the more strategies you learn, the better your chances of beating the game! But, don't get too excited, there's still more to go. Keep playing and you find more strategies and tricks to become a Backgammon master! Once you have achieved that, watch out! Then, you're really hooked!
Backgammon is the best board game I think they have ever invented for someone who gets bored easily with all other board games!
I feel like I have figured out so many of the tricks and strategies that it is quite hard to beat me based on the skill level, but the most fun thing about Backgammon is that it also involves the luck of the dice! This means that some people who are obviously not as good as I am can still have a fighting chance to play and beat me, giving them the confidence and excitement of winning the game!, and giving me the determination to keep finding new strategies!
