This game was made for the PC based on the highly popular board game of the same name. The board game Blood Bowl was created by games workshop, with its rules and game structure designed by Jervis Johnson. (The board game itself having taken on a whole new structure over the years via a Living Rule Book, which is constantly modified to improve the dynamics of the game). The adoption to the PC version of the game has unfortunately not been received well by some hardcore fans of the board game, but I speak for many fans when I say that this game is fantastic!

the slight quirkiness of the player movements actually makes the game more fun. You are even granted some very funny speech and playback sequences for certain events.
Games are started from choosing a team/race with whom you enter into a Blood Bowl league, which runs over approximately 30 matches. On your journey through this league you will encounter many other races/teams such as High Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarfs, Skaven, Chaos, Undead and Halfing to name a few.
All teams have their own special skills and characteristics, ensuring a healthy variety of playing styles to test all players of varying abilities. Star players can be purchased for each team when you have accumulated enough cash, and these characters can greatly bolster your team’s chances of success in the league.
The aim of the game is to score touch downs like in rugby (American football). This can be achieved by skill and graceful movements with your players, or by trying to smash the opposition into the ground. Yes Blood Bowl is much like its name, and killing the opposition is a great way to ensure victory. You are even treated to some lovely animation when you squish an opposing player.
After each match your players’ skills will improve if they have performed well on the field of play, and as your team grows you will eventually have the knowledge and man power to take on any opponents. The fun never ends! All in all, this game is fantastic and well worth playing. But once played a few times you will be totally addicted. Have fun sports fans!
