The first reason that I really enjoy it is the fact that it is chess. Chess is a timeless, ageless game that never goes out of style. Much time I have been playing chess at home on a normal board, and I remember thinking that there had to be a computer game that would provide
me with the fun that would be chess. I found that in Chessmaster 2000. I have never regretted downloading it because of the fact that it is chess.
The second reason that I really enjoy Chessmaster 2000 is the skill levels. It has a variety of skill levels from absurdly easy to inconceivably hard. This results in hours and hours of game-play. You all know what I am talking about. We all beat the easy mode really fast, so we think that we will try a harder level. Before we know it, we have spent hours and hours playing this game. The variety of the skill with their catchy names makes it an intriguing game.
The third reason that I really enjoy those games is the graphics. Granted, I am not a stickler for graphics who does not play a game if the graphics are not state-of-the art, but yet I have no desire to play a game with block Atari and Coleco type graphics either. This chess-game is by no means state of the art like XBOX 360, or the upcoming Wii and PS3, but it really has good graphics for a chess-game. It does not make you have to squint and really makes the game quite enjoyable. The graphics are excellent for the type of game that it is and provide hours and hours of play.
In conclusion, Chessmaster 2000 has a great draw with the fact that it is chess, a wide variety of skill levels, and the graphics are incredible. When I went to download it, I thought, "Oh Great. This game is going to be a waste of my time," but it has been a great experience. I spend hours a week playing this game, and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Chessmaster 2000.
