Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/21/2007
Cyrus is a great 3D chess game. The game is like a regular chess game, but with the additional aspects that a computer game can have. The 3D design that has been done to the game is over the top for a chess match. There is also the option of playing in 2D if you prefer the game to have a simple feel to the graphical design.
There are twelve different levels that you will be going through completing. You will be playing against the computer allowing you to have more options in some aspects.

There are twelve different levels that you will be going through completing. You will be playing against the computer allowing you to have more options in some aspects. One benefit is that you are able to set and reset the clock that is timing your every move. The are also able to save your matches and

load from a previous spot if you’ve saved earlier in the game. Each move will be highlighted after it has been completed, so if you do end up having to leave the computer desk for a few minutes it is possible. The game is a great game to stimulate your mind. You will have to think strategically and plan a few moves ahead of time. You will also be learning a great board game that has been played for quite some time.
The player is able to make changes to the game so that it fits what they prefer a little better. Being able to switch between 2D and 3D is one of these benefits that are offered. The controls that have been set up in the game are also quite simple and easy to learn.
The level of difficulty in Cyrus can differ. Depending on how high you set the computers skill level will depend on how complicated the game will be. The game can get complicated at times just like any other chess game. There will always be that turn where you don’t know exactly what to do and then once you do make your move you see that it would have been wiser to do another one. Cyrus is very comparable to the regular chess board game. The only difference is the added features that you take control of and the level of difficulty being able to change easily, instead of having to find a very experienced chess player.
Cyrus is a great chess game that can become very addicting. With the ability to save at any moment of the game and the choice of how you’d like it to look, it is without a doubt better than the regular chess game that you’d sit and play on a rainy day with your annoying sibling. There are more levels of difficulty and even just more levels to participate in. You are no matter what able to play this game whether you’ve been playing chess games for years or if it is the first time. Cyrus will be assisting you in getting that mind running again while having fun. What’s not to like?
