Still one of the most addicting games out there. Worth the download. Strategy is key here of course. Obtain your opponents land by diminishing their "armies", represented in numbers to 0 or until they retreat, they have to have land behind to retreat, so if you plan right you can corner them and take it relatively easily.
You start off with a set number of armies to place... you must have at least 1 army in a country to obtain and hold it. If you own an entire country represented by the different colors you get extra bonus armies after each turn.

Watch out because its at the beginning of YOUR turn when you revive your armies so if you don't own the country

at the beginning of your turn then your SOL. At least you might have some cards to turn in.
You must be touching the country to attack it or be connected by on of the lines. Each turn it would be wise to try and conquer at least one area because at the end of the turn you will get a card.. Once you have 3 of the same kind you can turn those in at the beginning of your turn to receive even more armies. So if you own a country and have some cards to turn in... the next turn you will be a force to be reckoned with, assuming you put the armies in strategic locations. Planning your strategy ahead of time is a good idea. Guessing the direction your opponents are going to move can also help.
The fight could be taking place all over the board at one time. Try and figure out who will be the weaker force because they will most likely be attacked instead of you.
Build up many armies on the location where the attacker can cross into your country, its not all that uncommon to have 60 armies on one location protecting a bunch of your areas with only one army on them.
The idea is to conquer the entire map, however this version has a couple different game modes on it.

A great game to any old risk fan or newbies to the game alike. An elementary but yet still very involving game without too many bells and whistles.
