Genre:  Board Games    |     Year: 1992    |     Publisher: Gremlin     |     Developer: Gremlin
Game Review (written by Ozman) Added on: 10/17/2006
Space crusader was an excellent game for anyone who is into sci-fi. It takes you on a trip through the galaxy with all kinds of action! Fight aliens, fly your ship at hyper speed to try and avoid the aliens, and explore new planets.
The graphics are not as good as I would have liked, but I was still content with the quality that is aw out of them.
I wish they would have given me more options with my weapons and vehicles.

I wish they would have given me more options with my weapons and vehicles. Because I'm the type of guy who loves choices. On the third stage, I had a lot of difficulty, but on my fifth try I managed to make it through with a secret I heard form one of my friends. Ask

around if you get stuck as well.
I think the game needs to be made a little harder for the moderately high to high skilled players with a lot of previous gaming experience. It definitely caters to the newbies and I'm not all about that. One of my friends followed the release of the game for a long time and was disappointed in what he ended up getting. He expected more options and more stages to the games. He said that there needed to be more secret codes and thought the aliens were cheesy looking.
Can I suggest different music for the background? Needs to be something a little more, maybe techno. Something to get the player’s heart pounding in the more intense parts of the game.
I still think it could end up being one of the classics, if it isn't already. As a matter of fact, I think I heard my dad say something about playing a game similar to it when he was younger. Similar looking aliens and about the same number of options for weapons.
Try it worth this.

Space Crusade is a must have for science fiction game fans. Not only are the graphics pleasing to the eye but the gameplay gives you hours of fun. There are a great deal of challenges in this game, a great deal of enemies to fight, and so much more.
