Game Review (written by Chrissi) Added on: 11/14/2007
A.J.’s World of Discovery is a game directed at a younger age group ranging from two to six years of age. The game is based on a lovable alien. The game is quite similar to The Tree house but is designed for the younger kids to enjoy.
The game offers a number of games and activities that are in great VGA graphics. Children can solve sliding tile puzzles, design a cartoon face with different facial components, and practice the English alphabet using a keyboard and much more. Every activity that comes from this game is quite educational for the young mind. The game has many hidden parts that can be clicked and will bring up a funny animation. The great part is that if your child needs help they are able to ask AJ for some help who has digital speech that are appropriate for the age group and never annoying for the parent. When games like this come out it encourages parents to allow their child to experience the gaming world in a safe environment. It is great to allow your child to interact with new things, even the occasional video game. Games that are educational, just like this one, should not have a limit to usage because no matter what your child will be learning.
This game is a great hit for not only the children but the parents as well. With the great educational value that this game has parents will let their children sit and play for hours. Each level that your child does will slowly increase in difficulty allowing the mind to grow while they play. The great part is the difficulty level doesn’t get so hard that your child will just give up and not want to play anymore. They will always have the assistance of their friend AJ just in case they need it. A.J.’s World of Discovery is also quite colorful for the eye. With the colors being so dramatic it allows the younger ages to stay more amused. The bright colors attract the young mind and will allow their brain to develop even more. As long as you can keep the child interested and having fun they will play this game over and over again learning more every time.
When you can get your child involved in something educational when it can normally be a huge hassle it’s a plus. Games like A.J.’s World of Discovery are a great way to teach your child new skills including computer skills. You may have to assist at the beginning, but watching your child learn new things and play a fantastic game all at once will make this game worth your while.
