Game Review (written by Jkshitemasters) Added on: 02/12/2007
This isn't the most interesting game out there. I would have to say it's for the younger crowd. Basically, it teaches knowledge using the main character on the farm. It's fun to play once or twice. A good game to play with kids while babysitting, I must say. Most kids enjoy it.
My first experience with the game was when I was babysitting a small child. He had been wasting away in front of battle video games all day, and his drive seemed unbreakable.
He did not want to stop playing games. So I introduced a new game to him, a more educational game in which a child can benefit greatly, a game not about violence or hate, but driven to teach children, yet put them under the impression that they're still "playing". That's what I loved about this educational game.
The kid that I babysat loved farms. He truly enjoyed picturing all types of animals and being on a huge spot of land. It seemed a nice little fantasy world to him, since he'd always lived in the city. Well, I introduced him to the game and let him play a bit. It took a while for him to catch on, but after a while, he and "Barney Bear" were inseparable. He played non-stop. It got quite boring watching, but I guess if you're more knowledgeable, that's how this game may feel to you.
Anyway though, it's quite appropriate for all ages and that's why it was a good choice from him. He benefited by learning, I by keeping him occupied, and the parents because he wasn't playing those violent games for once. He still plays it off and on these days when I go over to watch him, though super heroes are his new addiction. But still, it's a very great game for kids to play.
I think that schools should even have games like this because it simulates a nice farm and also, the kids learn at the same time. I think the age group on this would probably be between 4 and 8, but older folks who would like to go back to "the basics" may get a kick out of this one. So download this and try it out once or twice. It may even save you a lot of craziness the next time you're babysitting an addicted gamer who needs to learn. So overall, I rate it a 6 out of 10.
