Bugs Bunny Cartoon Workshop

PC
Genre:  Educational    |     Year: 1990    |     Publisher: Hi-Tech Expressions, Inc.     |     Developer: Novotrade
Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 01/24/2008
This is a great application for little kids or even adults who are interested in graphics design, cartoons and animation. This game was created by Novotrade and released by Hi-Tech Expressions. It gives the players an idea of how cartoons are made. It’s actually a pretty simplified version but it’s great nevertheless.
The game allows the user to create his/her own cartoon by following a few simple steps on the game. The game is not flexible and will not allow you to explore character development. Each character will “act” based on predefined characteristics.
You can scroll through a list of actions available for each character but that is basically it. You can’t make your character act outside of these action choices. The Warner Bros. characters act according to how their characters are in the cartoon series.
There are two modes in the game, the Junior mode and the Master mode. The Junior mode is for beginners and little children while the Master mode is for adults and those who are already used to the game.
First, you must choose the different characters and the setting of the story that you are producing. The menu has some pretty cool settings that are familiar to fans of Warner Bros. classic cartoons. You also choose the number of frames you need just like a true animator. There is a film slider which can help you change the length of your cartoons by adding or subtracting frames. You can access the film slider at any point in the game. You can also add characters to the different frames at any part of the game using the Film Slider.
As for the characters, you have a set of pretty good of choices from characters in the Bugs Bunny TV cartoons to Looney Tunes characters such as Daffy Duck, Road Runner, Elmer Fudd and others. Next, you can add dialogs in the word balloons. After creating the story, you can animate the characters so that you have a true cartoon episode.
This is a great game to play together with your children or a creative nephew or niece. You can get a kick at how insanely creative little kids can be. Sometimes they can create the most hilarious stories.
This is a great game for the whole family and it’s worth keeping in your hard drive. It will provide you with countless hours of fun and it will also stretch little kids’ imaginations. The interface is pretty simple so it’s not frustrating for little kids. This is a simple, fun game I would recommend to anyone.
