Game Review 1 (written by Rob007) Added on: 08/29/2006
This game is great for Canadians. It teaches Geography, some History, and lots more as you travel across Canada finishing mission and tasks to accomplish. It also teaches a bit about business and economics but mainly it is a great introductory tool for learning about Canada and the cities therein. Even though the game may be a tad dated, it still serves some purpose. After all, I still play it almost twenty years after it first came out. It has easy game-play, and does not require a lot of thinking.

It can be played by anyone, young or old. Even if you do not hail from Canada it is a fun game to play. Other games which teach you valuable things while having fun are Car Builder or the Oregon Trail Game. Basic math, writing, and reading skills are also taught within these games, as well how to make important decisions affecting your play.
If you are new to the Canadian environment this game will also be just as helpful. You will learn place names, and different parts of Canada. It will make you think and charge you with tasks to complete, such as hauling corn to Vancouver or any other task that you choose to undertake. Even after all this time the game never gets

old. It's easy to understand interface and quick game-play allow you to play a game very fast, but will leave you wanting more.
Cross Country Canada should only be one of the many games you choose to download from this site. I admit, while they are no Mortal Kombat or Final Fantasy these games do not require hours to finish. You could easily play them twenty times a day and they do not become boring, just good fun. Let kids play them as there is no offensive material to be found at all.
Have fun exploring Canada, enjoy the many missions you will fulfill and have a great time. After all, each new time you play is a whole new experience just waiting to happen. Why not sit back and relax, and take off across Canada. I know I will!
It is good that these games are now freely available, and the programs needed to play them are also easily available online (emulators etc.). For just sheer fun or a great learning environment play any of these three games now!

Game Review 2 (written by User_1) Added on: 08/14/2006
Cross Country Canada is possibly the greatest game I had growing up in school. The game had the ability to capture us kids and suck us into the world of a trucker across Canada delivering packages. The game-play is acceptable considering the release date is so long ago. However, this is a classic and can not be duplicated nor should it be attempted. I played it personally many times as a youngster and I continue to find time to play this classic DOS game I so dearly enjoy.
The basic idea of Cross Country Canada is this: you assume the role of a transport truck driver delivering packages to their appropriate locations. To figure out where to go though, you must follow certain clues given to you to find the appropriate commodity to pick up. Along your tour across Canada, you may even come across some hitchhikers. Be careful though! They might steal some of your packages. When you complete the game there is a "reward" provided, but to find out what that is you'll just have to download and play for yourself and find out!
This game is without a doubt a classic that can entertain kids now just as it did kids in my day. The only downside to this game might be the graphics. If you love the new-age style graphics then I'm sorry but remember that this game was an early 90’s releases so don’t get giddy about the graphics. This game provides hours of fun for adults and kids alike. Although it is simplistic in its approach, make no mistake that the game is also highly educational!
Don't miss out on a rare opportunity to obtain this game. Get it first at this site. There's no opportunity like now to get Cross Country Canada. No demos, no rip-offs, the real deal. It's absolutely worth the time to sign up for. The game Cross Country Canada brings back good memories for me of my childhood and my wife remembers it too. The memories of this game are the type that will last a very long time, no exaggerations.
I love this game despite it's less than stellar graphics because it's good, clean, simple fun and it's so easy to play. The whole gaming experience is here in one game, get it now...CROSS COUNTRY CANADA. A classic in DOS gaming.

I love this game. I wish i could give it a big hug, maybe a kiss too. I wish my school would not deny access to it and then I would be able to play it right now. That my friend, would make me very happy. I have a x box but i would much rather play this game!
