I remember this game when I was a kid. It came with a computer by father had bought in the early 90's. I played it a lot because it was an awesome game. Driving around in a submarine solving problems and killing under water sea creatures.
I don’t remember the game too well because I was like 9 or 10 when I played it. I do remember that I never beat it though and at one point it would start freezing at one point in the game so I gave up.
I remember these green look accordion things that would move up in down that you would try to avoid when you were in your submarine.
Back during that time I was really impressed with the graphics it had because it was really colorful and I would brag to my friends the graphics it had.
I remember if you were low on oxygen a dolphin would swim around with an oxygen tank and you would have to chase him to get it. The controls were just the arrow keys around the map and the numbers and enter when you were trying to solve a problem. I don’t remember a lot of the enemies you face. I loved the game though. I guess
some things I didn’t like about the game though were how some of the map defects. I didn’t like how the screen would change when you would go to a new area but not know exactly where you were on the map. I guess there is something wrong with the diskette also and caused the game to freeze after a short period of time. Super solver always made great games like number munchers.
Overall super solver makes great games and I am not sure if they still make educational games or if they have made newer versions of Operation Neptune. If they did I would probably buy it for me or my child.
I would recommend that they put this game in every elementary school because I think all guys every where would like it because it is an adventure game and all guys at that age love adventure games and the idea of being a good guy and hero. Great game. Loved the graphics and the gameplay. I wish I still had it. If this review gets passed I will download it and play again. I loved the monsters in the game. I remember this one fish that would swim around and had a flashlight like thing in front of it and it looked really, really scary.
