Game Review (written by Dasharoo) Added on: 10/19/2006
The secret life of Dr. Qaudry is one of my favorite childhood games because it’s so fanatical and interesting it makes you wanna win the game.
In the game the setting in the beginning starts at a carnival event, I was excited for this part. Right off the bat you find yourself playing a game of hit the target, the targets are these little troll characters if I can remember correctly, once you shoot one of these ugly troll dolls, which you can try at numerous times otherwise what’s the point in playing, you are rewarded one of these trolls and upon receiving a troll prize Dr. Qaudnry pops out of nowhere and does some malicious magic trick on you by imprisoning your body inside the troll. Obviously, no good cookies. After having been trapped in a troll dolls body you find yourself on a random island you know nothing about stranded. The only significant clue to what is going on is drifted by ocean waves to the lonely island shore, which appears to you as a bottle, and inside it is a note giving you further details of what is going on. While reading Dr. Qaundry appears to you again informing you of his malicious plot, which is basically revealed to be something of his amusement in having you make your way through the thickened forest behind you off from the shore, and while doing so you as the player have to solve various masterminded puzzles, involving both trivia, and some guessing, so yes you must use your brain.
After you as the player receive your mission must enter into the forest and follow a path taking you to random puzzles and games, of which one of the first ones I remember is the shattered candle, which is a strategic game of piecing geometric pieces back together forming the puzzle, and upon doing so, Dr. Qaudry appears again giving you further clues so you can return to your normal form. Even if you don’t get the puzzle right the first time you have as many chances in trying again, but only if you have time.
Another game within the game you can play in order to win the game is this one guessing game, where you find this random guy in stockades, and to set him free you must guess his age, I sucked at this a lot of the time, but once you get the right age you’re home free and are one step closer in its completion, I have never completed this game, since I never had the time, but again it was one of my favorite childhood games.

Rcapouel (06/09/2007) this game was ok. i felt that the tactics of the play style could have been improved. However for the level that the game was designed it was fairly impressive. |
