Game Review (written by Lat1) Added on: 03/16/2007
As a child, I loved to play trivial pursuit with my family and friends. Holidays and parties were never boring with this game that tests your wits on a variety of topics including sports and leisure, history, and entertainment to name a few. It is really a game for anyone and like I did, you can learn a lot as you play more and more. The game itself changes from time to time so you rarely answer the same question. If you are a fan of trivia and have a wide and varied encyclopedia of useless knowledge in your head like I do, this pc game is for you!
This first edition is somewhat dated in graphics (however I love the fact that the classic circular and brightly colored game board has remained virtually the same), but what it lacks in visual appeal it definitely makes up for in challenging questions (ranging from the presidency to pop culture) that will keep you on your toes for hours! It is a great game to play alone or with friends to pass the time at home, work or the average college dorm and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone, even youngsters looking to get an edge in school.

If you have never played trivial pursuit before, you might find it a little confusing. The original game was played with a die and a colored pie piece holder. You would roll the die and move along the board answering questions in the hopes of earning a coveted pie piece. He who collected one of every color and returned to home first would win the game and bragging rights until the next game was played. This pc game is played virtually the same but I would still take a quick look at the how to play. It is easy to understand and shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get through. From there begin playing and remember to have fun! I like that the games can be saved so that if something suddenly comes up during an intense round or when you’re finally starting to get ahead, you don’t have to start from scratch.
I know there are newer versions of this game online and on this site but like they say the original can’t be beaten. This game brings back so many fond memories and now I can create new ones with the animated computer version. 10 out of 10!
