Game Review (written by Dixiedog98) Added on: 10/09/2006
I loved playing this game many years ago. Not sure when the first time I played it was, but what I do remember is it was when games only came on those big 5 inch disks. With the game came with it the game guide book that had all of the solutions to the puzzles in it. I know my dad hid the book from my brother and so we would have to ask him for help if we really got stuck on a puzzle.
The game ended up being one where the whole family would get involved with trying to figure out some of the puzzles.
When I first had this game I remember one of the puzzle, have no idea which one now, but the answer in the solution book was wrong and we could never figure out what the solution was. I think it was this one puzzle that kept us from being able to unlock a new state and be able to solve the game.
A thing that makes the game good is that it has such a wide variety of puzzles in it. Some of the puzzles are like jigsaw puzzles but with having all the pieces being squares. There are many different word games, some of them are fairly easy, while others really make use your brain or go to outside sources. For some of them I would use a dictionary just because I knew only the first few letters of what a word would be.
Some of the games I would say are just sort of by chance games. The games where there are about 8 or 10 buttons that you are required to push in a certain order.
There are word find games, but some of the word find games have a twist to them. The words are not like the standard word find where they are horizontal, vertical or diagonal. But it has them so they twist and are in like an L shape or some other different shape.
I have only found one problem with this game since I know it was not designed for the fast computer they have this day in age. So for some of the puzzles things run way too fast. Like the Simon says puzzles, where you have to copy the pictures that flash it goes way too fast to even see them blink. I might just need to find a program that will slow down the computer.
I also have found an on-line walk through for this game. So now without having the game book for clues this link helps to solve some of the more difficult puzzles.
