Game Review (written by Theguy97) Added on: 06/04/2007
This PC game made by SEGA is very similar to the Poyu Pop game that they also made. Only you must get the right food to the animals and have them eat it.
Game Rules: eliminate the blocks that fall into your playing field. You can obstruct your opponent's gameplay by dropping blocks into his or her playing field. The player whose playing field completely fills with blocks loses the match.
There are two kinds of blocks: animal blocks and food blocks. Each animal block eats a certain kind of food block. Whenever an animal block comes into contact with its favorite food, the animal block eats the food block.
The animal block eats all similar food blocks that are connected vertically or horizontally. If a food block comes between two or more similar animal blocks, all of those animals will eat the food block. As blocks disappear, the blocks above drop down. Take advantage of this feature to create chain reaction combos that cause blocks to fall in your opponent's playing field.
Each time you eliminate three or more blocks in your playing field or start chain reactions, you "attack" your opponent by causing extra blocks to drop into his or her playing field.
The game ends when one player's playing field fills with blocks. The word CONTINUE? appears. Press a button before the timer runs out to continue your game, and the Level Select screen returns. If the timer reaches 0, the game ends and the Title Screen returns.
All in all, rather good game, to play with your friends or alone.

Brimostar (04/01/2008) Very addictive game. I don't know why Sega did not release new parts of this game. This game needs concentration and patience.Robertics (06/10/2007) This is the first game that really interested me. I used to play this for hours when I was about 10 years old!Funkymonk120 (06/03/2007) Baku Baku Animal is a variation on the very often copied Tetris type of game. The game has three different play modes: practice, normal and hard. It also can be played by two players against each other (except for the Master System version). The objective is to pair animal heads with their respective food. If a rabbit head comes falling, you must make it fall on a pile of carrot tiles, dog heads with bones, panda heads with bamboos and monkey heads with bananas. There is a bonus item, the "BB coin", which will appear from times to times, and remove piled tiles from the playfield. Removed tiles will be sent to the opponent's playfield all at once, increasing the difficulty of the task. Polly will face several contestants, and she'll win when her opponents get their playfield piled to the top. |
