Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 03/17/2008
Darwin Dilemma is a strategy game that was released in the 90s. The game features the evolution theory by Charles Darwin. The game is fun because it makes you a part of the process of evolution even if it’s just in a virtual environment.
The game involves creating new and more developed organisms by fusing together similar organisms. You can do this by making the organisms smash into each other. There is a set time limit for each level where you have to make the insects in the screen collide to form a new organism. Only after you have created a new organism will you be able to move on to the next level. You will start with simple organisms in the first few levels after which you will move on to bigger animals. You will also move on to animals that are higher in the food chain. You just have to keep making matches and keep creating new creatures. It is a fantastic opportunity to experience creation, life and science.
This game is so much fun that you will surely spend so much time playing it. It is simple, straightforward and fast-paced. The game is appropriate even for young children because it does not feature violence and gore. It can even get young kids interested in science, animals and the evolution of organisms.
The game play is highly unique especially since the premise of the game is also quite original. The graphics of the game is simple yet it worked fine for the game. The game is highly addictive so it can make you lose many, many hours you would otherwise be using to complete other tasks. I suggest you play it on the weekend when it the game can’t interfere with work or any other things you’re supposed to be doing in the weekdays.
The game did not gain too much fans despite being a very well made game. It’s actually a great thing that the game is still available for download because it gives young gamers and novice gamers an opportunity to play an obscure but highly entertaining game. I recommend this game to anyone. It can be played by anyone in the whole family because of its wholesome theme and rendering. I really think it’s worth anyone’s time and energy.
