Game Review (written by Vanglight) Added on: 12/05/2007
I played this game about 6 years after it first came out in the mid-90s. Endorfun is almost like a Rubix cube where you want to match colors, but it is now laid down flat. Colors need to be matched up as you control your cube to correspond its colors to the squares underneath it Basically, you flip your cube around to have the bottom color of the cube land upon the coressponding colored square. Endorfun can be quite challenging since it is very fast-paced as you go on.
I have found out that girls really love this game when they get into it. It has a mesmerizing soundtrack in the background with a fast-beat that sounds almost Hawaiian/African/Jamaican (perhaps some sort of combination). This game is fun, but not totally for everybody. After a while, people may want to seek a new challenge somewhere else. I believe this game is more for people who enjoy tetris and other simple puzzle games.
Now for some people, this game is truly addicting. It may be due to the fact that the music and sounds present this fast-paced and challenging environment for the player. The mentality feels like there is a voice taunting you with this line "Are you good enough for the next level?"
A word of caution to parents and players - this game can be highly addictive because of it's "feel good" subliminal messages and because it's a video game.
All in all, this is a classic puzzle video game that will be fun to play. I would give it a 7/10 overall. If you are the type who does not like intricate games or deep role-playing stuff, this game is for you. If you just want to play something during your break off work, you can quickly load this game. But if you have hours ready to be invested into a great game, Endorfun is not the way to go. If I was really into puzzle/action games and getting higher up into the levels, I'd probably do puzzle bubble or arkanoid.
Endorfun is easy to learn and adapt to. Does not take a genius to learn this game and enjoy it. It can be quite stimulating for those who enjoy the challenging levels and puzzles. I haven't played in quite a while now (16 months) but I do believe that Endorfun is one of a kind. I haven't seen or played other games exactly like it yet. I do not believe there are morphed versions of it anywhere unlike tetris.
