For all you puzzle game lovers out there like me, Fallout is one of the best examples of the genre. I like the fact that I am using my talents of predicting outcomes and working my brain while still playing a game and having fun.
Fallout may not be the first of the puzzle games like Tetris and Breakout but it has a couple of noteworthy differences than the others. When your brightly colored bricks start to fall down instead of disappearing they fall away from the wall to crush the player.
The total objective to the game is to line up the bricks in sets of three and then they will disappear.
Fallout offers you many levels with the first few being rather easy but then they start to accelerate in difficulty as you achieve higher levels. More advanced puzzle game enthusiasts won’t have much to challenge them in the lower levels but the higher levels do take a lot of thought and brain work, enough to make Fallout a challenging game for everyone. You can choose random games or go through the levels according to difficulty and you can even custom build your own.
The 3D graphics are very good and sharp, there are also many special blocks thrown into the mix as well. The downfall
to Fallout and many puzzle games like it is the repetitiveness and staring at blocks for hours sometimes (like me). But sometimes you do just have to walk away from it because believe it or not even though it is very repetitive it can also become highly addictive.
Fallout is also good for many age groups; I played it when I was younger and still enjoy playing it from time to time as an adult. It’s a good solid game for children as well as adults and it is good mental stimulation for anyone. Gameplay is simple and there are not many controls to worry about, all you need to do is line those blocks up and have some fun.
