Game Review (written by Eric) Added on: 04/03/2008
Aside from arcade games I really enjoy playing puzzle games. They not only make me feel like I’m playing with a purpose (to sharpen my mind) but they also allow me to have so much fun. I’ve always enjoyed puzzle games even when I was a kid. Hodj and Podj is one of the many puzzle games I enjoyed playing as a kid. And now although the game seems really simple for an adult like me I still like it. I downloaded the game just a couple of weeks ago and I still enjoyed it. I decided to keep so that my nephew can play with it when he comes over to visit.
Hodj and Podj is a collection of different puzzle games that kids and adults will enjoy. These game includes plenty of mini-games that are all fun to play. The games include: memory, poker, pac-man, solitaire and others. The game was released in the mid-nineties by Virgin Interactive Entertainment Incorporated. It’s a charming game with a really good combination of mini-games. The game is packed with features that make it truly interesting and exciting for players.
With each game Hodj and Podj can earn money, clues and other things that they can use to rescue Mish and Mosh the twin princesses. The game is set on a board game and the user needs to roll the dice so that you can move along the board game. You can choose to play the either as Hodj or as Podj and you can also choose what types of puzzles you should play in order to achieve your goal. You can play the quest mode where you need to follow the story line and save the princess or you can play the other mode where you can just keep playing the different mini-games included.
The graphics are colorful and fun and while it’s not what anyone would consider the best graphics out there, it already serves it purpose. The best part of the game is still the game play because of the variety. It’s impossible for anyone to get bored with the game as it has so much to offer. The puzzles may be familiar and the game is really designed for kids but it doesn’t mean it’s not worth having. Although the game is not popular it’s still fun to play. The game is a nifty little game for the whole family.
